Delivering sustainable communities Day 3 of resource05 concentrates on reducing the carbon impacts created by towns and cities. Allan Jones of London Climate Change Agency, Chris Horn from the Elephant & Castle project and Christiane Egger from the Upper Austrian Energy Agency are among the team of speakers who will be looking at the challenges and suggesting some solutions. The afternoon debate will be led by Dr Sue Roaf of Oxford Brookes University who will investigate the idea that correct siting can make a development more sustainable. |

DTI commissions new study into microgeneration The Energy Saving Trust has been asked to examine the role of microgeneration in the UK's future energy strategy. Implementing the Revised Part F As of January 2006 Part F is being changed to mandate increased levels of ventilation in homes and offices. Failure to comply will make offenders liable to fines and delays in their building projects.
